What a Show!

Did you make it to the Tinahely Show? If you didn’t, put it in your diary now and
make sure to get there next year (it’ll be on the August bank holiday Monday)!
The Whizzy Team had a ball there…. And loads of visitors to our stand hit a ball.
We had the Whizzy Poc game where the good people of Wicklow, Wexford and
beyond tested the speed they could hit a sliotar with a hurl and there was a prize for
the two whizziest. Great craic!

The show was officially opened by our taoiseach Simon Harris and our own Whizzy
leader James took the opportunity to have a word with him about developing youth
talent in sports, something he is always passionate about.

There was so much more going on at Tinahely Show too – it’s one of the biggest
shows in the country (more than 20,000 people were there this year!) and there’s
literally something there for everyone.

Livestock Competitions

Including cattle, sheep, horses, and poultry. Interesting competitions for rare animals
and working dogs as well – we love watching the sheepdogs work!

Entertainment

The Court Stage, with live music, Punch & Judy shows the Baby Show and Best
Dressed competitions.

Fashion Shows

Family Fun

Pets Corner, a Dog Show, children’s entertainment, and lots of sporting contests
including the pony club mounted games.
 
We were delighted to support this fantastic family event and to meet lots of our
wonderful customers
